Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) is one of the five international airports under the responsibility of the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT). As Chiang Mai International Airport is the major gateway to the scenic beauty and rich culture of Northern Thailand, it plays an important role in promoting travel and tourism throughout the northern region. Today, 9 airlines service the airport and more than 2,000,000 passengers, 15,000 flights and 16,000 tons of cargo are handled at this airport.

Located at longitude 98° 57' 58" and latitude 18° 46' 18", 1,035 feet above sea level, Chiang Mai International Airport is 4 kms southwest of downtown Chiang Mai.

Information Service: For any enquiries and assistance, simply approach the airport officers at the Airport Information Counter.
Retail Shops:  A variety of retail outlets are provided for passengers including a duty free shop, souvenir shop, handicraft and local products shop as well as a local food shop.
Food & Drink: On the 2nd floor, Thai Airways International restaurant serves Thai and European food. In addition, snack bars are located throughout the terminal.
Tourist Services: The Tour Service Counter is located on the 1st floor.

 Passenger Service Charge (PSC)
International Passengers: Baht 700/person psc
Domestic Passengers: Baht 100/person (included in the ticket price) 

Payment methods:
  1. Payment of the PSC at special PSC Cash Counters
    Payment can be made in cash. Refunds will be given to travelers if they decide not to fly.
  2. Payment of the PSC via PSC Ticket Vending Machines
    The PSC ticket vending machines will take Thai Baht only. While the PSC vending machines for domestic travel will take Thai Baht notes in the denomination of 20, 50 and 100 as well as 10 Baht coin. The PSC machines for international travel will take Thai Baht notes of 50,100,500,1,000 and 10 Baht coin. All machines will give change.
Government Regulations
All passengers over the age of 2 are required to pay the Passenger Service Charges.
Passengers without a PSC ticket will not be permitted to fly.
Payment of PSC is governed by the law of the Kingdom of Thailand. Please contact the PSC Counter for any queries.
PSC ticket can be purchased in cash US $ 11 at PSC Counter.
